Barbodes binotatus
Spot Barb, Common Barb
Barbodes binotatus is a peaceful and schooling species. It's essential to keep them in groups of at least six to promote natural behavior and to avoid aggression. Their diet should consist mainly of small invertebrates, plant matter, and commercially-prepared fish foods. The tank should have adequate swimming space, coupled with areas of dense vegetation to mimic their natural habitat. Excellent community fish, but avoid pairing with aggressive species.
