Fundulopanchax oeseri, commonly referred to as the Blue Gularis, is a striking killifish species highly prized in the aquarium hobby for its vivid coloration and unique patterns. As a carnivorous species, it thrives on a diet of live foods like insect larvae and small crustaceans. Being a riverine species, it benefits greatly from a current in the aquarium, mimicking its natural habitat. Males are often aggressive towards each other, so housing them with plenty of hiding spots and territorial delineators like plants and rocks is recommended. Additionally, as a jump-prone species, aquaria should be securely covered.
