Lamprichthys tanganicanus are a peaceful schooling species that exhibit best behavior and vivid coloration when kept in groups. They occupy upper and middle water layers and are known for their striking reflective eyes. Being fast swimmers and jumpers, a secure lid is recommended for tanks. Their diet should consist of high-quality flakes, small pellets, and live or frozen foods to mimic their natural diet. These fish make a vibrant addition to any tank but should be housed with equally peaceful species to minimize stress.
