Micralestes acutidens

Micralestes acutidens are active, schooling fish that thrive in groups of at least 6-8 individuals. They are omnivorous, feeding on a mix of plant matter and small invertebrates. In captivity, they accept a varied diet of flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods. They require ample swimming space and a tank environment that mimics their natural habitat with vegetation and open water areas. They coexist well with other similarly sized, non-aggressive species.
