Polypterus weeksii is a fascinating, bottom-dwelling fish known for its prehistoric appearance. It requires a spacious aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and a soft substrate. Being a nocturnal predator, it feeds on live and frozen foods. Coexisting with smaller species is not recommended as they might be seen as prey. They are escape artists and require tightly fitted lids.
