Sicyopterus longifilis is known for its distinctively long fin rays and its adaptability to strong water currents. They are algae grazers and can contribute positively to controlling algae growth in their environment. They're generally peaceful but require plenty of space and hiding spots in the tank. Establishing a suitable river tank with high oxygen levels and a consistent current reflects their natural habitat and is ideal for mimicking the conditions they are accustomed to.
